JOB SUMMARY

A Housekeeper can work as an individual worker or be a part of a team that takes responsibility for keeping the house, and hotel clean, tidying up everywhere that needs to be kept clean. This also includes keeping the guest rooms well arranged (in the case of a hotel) as well as other designated areas of the house and hotel. The Housekeeper is responsible for the general sanity of the hotel, making sure it is safe, conducive, and serene for the guests. Also maintaining the cleanliness standards of the house and hotel at all times.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These are the expected duties and responsibilities the Housekeeper is expected to discharge:

• Clean, arrange and sanitize the rooms for guests. Also the public areas of the hotel. Keep the environment serene and beautiful at all times.
• Making beds, changing pillows, pillows, linens towels also checking for breakage as well as any other spoilt item(s).
• Reporting maintenance issues to the supervisor on time for quick actions to be taken.
• Dusting and vacuuming to keep the hotel dust free.
• Restocking guest room amenities needed for the guests.
• Following all safety protocols and regulations to avoid casualties.
• Performing other related duties as required for the general well-being of the hotel.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

• Good Communication Skills. The individual should know how to communicate, and express himself or herself.
• Fluency in Spoken English Canada is an English-speaking country (though some speak French) the individual should have a good command of Spoken English to be able to communicate with the guest and co-workers.
• Individuals should have great work ethics, be diligent, and ever ready to discharge their duties.
• Ability to function effectively in a team, having a positive attitude towards work.
• The applicant should be experienced in housekeeping or a related field.
• Ability to lift heavy materials.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Having the legal backing to work in Canada (work permit).
